GABRIEL TCHIEMA APRESENTA “ENCONTRO DE RAÍZES” COM PARTICIPAÇÃO DE EDNA MATEIA
TCHIEMA ARREBATA HUÍLA
Gabriel Tchiema apresenta hoje, em Luanda, o concerto “Encontro de Raízes”, espectáculo que terá como convidada especial a cantora Edna Mateia, no Palácio de Ferro, a partir das 19 horas.
De acordo com o porta voz do Palácio de Ferro, Hamilton Victor, “Encontro de Raízes”, mais do que um título representa o regresso às origens que alimentaram a construção artística de Gabriel Tchiema, que tem feito da música de raiz, das línguas nacionais e das sonoridades tradicionais angolanas elementos centrais da sua identidade musical.
O conserto propõe que uma viagem às origens da ancestralidade rítmica nacional, enquadra-se na rubrica Trajectória, do Palácio de Ferro.
Gabriel Tchiema é cantor e compositor, natural da província do Moxico, cuja trajectória artística está marcada pela valorização da música do leste de Angola, com uma sonoridade diferente da habitual música tradicional. O músico, que iniciou o percurso profissional ainda durante o serviço militar, destacou-se pela interpretação de temas em língua nacional cowe e pela fusão de ritmos tradicionais, como a tchianda e a massemba, com outras influências da música africana.
