JOÃO ROSA SANTOS EMPOSSADO NA QUALIDADE DE IMORTAL, DA ACADEMIA BRASILEIRA DE ESCRITORES
O jornalista e escritor João Rosa Santos foi empossado e assumiu a Cadeira Número 37, na qualidade de Imortal, da Academia Brasileira de Escritores (ABRESC), na quinta-feira, em São Paulo, no Brasil.
Numa cerimónia concorrida, foram igualmente imortalizados Amosse Mucavele, de Moçambique, e Vera Duarte, de Cabo Verde. Na ocasião, os três escritores africanos foram indicados embaixadores Culturais da instituição nos respectivos países. “É, para mim, como seria para qualquer outro escritor angolano, motivo de grande alegria ocupar esta cadeira, uma distinção que muito me honra, orgulha e catapulta a minha trajectória no mundo da literatura”, afirmou João Rosa Santos. Referindo-se à distinção, na qualidade de Imortal, o escritor disse que a surpresa foi agradável e reconheceu que “quem vive de verdade nunca morre”. O novo embaixador Cultural da ABRESC em Angola assumiu o compromisso de respeitar e prestigiar a memória da instituição que, como referiu, é um símbolo da literatura brasileira, um espaço de resistência intelectual, de pensamento livre, do cultivo da palavra e da democracia cultural.João Rosa Santos tem publicados os livros “Quando o Coração chora”, “Contornos da Vida”, “Que mal fizemos Nós”, “Croningolando”, “Preta Fula”, “Ndolo”, “Balabina”, “Kubanza”, “Etu mu Dyetu”, “Sexta-Festa”, “Tilito Santos”, “AnaMaxinde”, “Perdidos e Achados” e “Caixa Preta”.O novo Imortal da Academia Brasileira de Escritores, nasceu na província de Malanje, é mestre em Assessoria de Imagem e Consultoria Política, membro da União dos Escritores Angolanos, da Liga da Velha-Guarda de Malanje e da Associação Tilito Santos.
