Projecto Angojazz apoia candidatura do semba à UNESCO
O projecto Angojazz, liderado pelo pianista Dimbo Makiesse, manifestou apoio à campanha promovida pelo Ministério da Cultura para a internacionalização e inscrição do Semba na lista do Património Cultural Imaterial da Humanidade da UNESCO.
A posição assumida pelo Angojazz reforça o movimento de mobilização cultural em torno da candidatura do semba, considerada uma das mais importantes iniciativas de valorização do património musical angolano dos últimos anos. O projecto reconhece a relevância histórica e cultural do género musical, apontando-o como um dos maiores símbolos da identidade nacional.
Segundo Dimbo Makiesse, o reconhecimento internacional do semba representará uma conquista significativa para a cultura angolana, contribuindo para a preservação e divulgação de uma manifestação artística que influenciou gerações de músicos e desempenhou um papel fundamental na construção da identidade cultural do país.
O apoio do Angojazz insere-se num conjunto de acções que procuram sensibilizar artistas, instituições e a sociedade para a importância da candidatura. A iniciativa visa demonstrar à comunidade internacional o valor histórico, artístico e social do semba, cuja influência ultrapassa as fronteiras nacionais.
