ORQUESTRA SINFÓNICA CAMUNGA TRANSFORMA VIDAS DE JOVENS E CRIANÇAS COM O PODER DA ARTE
Foi fundada a 22 de Novembro de 2011, a Orquestra Sinfónica e Escola de Artes Camunga, localizada no distrito da Samba, município de Belas, surge com o objectivo de resgatar e dar oportunidade aos jovens, adolescentes e crianças, apostando na formação, de forma gratuita, no domínio das variadas disciplinas artísticas, especialmente na vertente musical.
Estando em um período em que, nos bairros periféricos de Luanda e o índice de analfabetismo, delinquência juvenil, consumo de bebidas alcoólicas e drogas no ciclo juvenil é preocupantemente e recorrente, surgiu a necessidade de se combater as práticas ou tendências com acções e iniciativas producentes.
Embora existissem já na altura algumas organizações desportivas e recreativas na zona da Samba e arredores, nem todos os jovens e crianças se reviam nestas mesmas iniciativas e, por isso, outros, por não apresentarem inclinações nestas áreas, permaneciam vulneráveis a abraçar os caminhos errantes.
É neste domínio que, sem recursos nem meios, mas com uma vontade crescente de ajudar a transformar vidas de dezenas de jovens e adolescentes, nasce a escola de arte Camunga, que mas tarde dá lugar a uma orquestra sinfónica com o mesmo nome.
Com a iniciativa de Ntumba Malamba Camunga, professor de arte, o projecto nasce com o objectivo de proporcionar às crianças, jovens e aos adolescentes conhecimentos e técnicas sobre as mais variadas disciplinas artísticas, como forma de os retirar dos caminhos errantes que não agregam nenhum valor à sociedade .O objectivo é apostar na formação no domínio das varias das categorias artísticas, resgatar e dar oportunidade aos jovens, às crianças e aos adolescentes de aprender a música como arte e como profissão, e, deste modo, para poder lhes afastar de comportamentos não adequados à sociedade como a delinquência, prostituição, alcoolismo, entre outros”, explicou Malamba Camunga.
