A cantora norte-americana Taylor Swift, chegou ao topo da lista na Billboard, e agora está empatada com Stevie Wonder e Janet Jackson no número de músicas que chegaram ao pódio da conceituada lista. A próxima a bater é Whitney Houston.
A omnipresença de Taylor Swift no mundo do entretenimento é inegável e inescapável. A cantora chama a atenção por onde passa, nos espectáculos ao vivo, nos cinemas, nas capas de revista e até nas relações. Mas nada disto seria possível sem sucesso na música e, nesse campo, a cantora norte-americana pode riscar mais um recorde da lista.
Esta semana, o tema ‘Cruel Summer’, que foi lançado em 2019, mas assistiu a um ressurgimento graças à histórica digressão ‘The Eras Tour’ (e ao filme-concerto que daí surgiu), atingiu o número 1 da lista Hot 100 da Billboard, uma lista que recolhe todos os dados de streaming nos Estados Unidos, incluindo reproduções oficiais de áudio e de vídeo, transmissões na rádio e dados de vendas online e físicas.
Quando a música foi lançada, estreou-se no número 29 da lista e foi caindo até desaparecer. Mas, em junho deste ano, voltou a surgir, começando em 49.º lugar e continuando a escalar a montanha de ‘singles’ até atingir o pico.
Com este feito, Taylor Swift pode gabar-se de ter, agora, dez músicas que chegaram ao número 1 da Hot 100 da Billboard, igualando o número de ‘singles’ de Stevie Wonder e Janet Jackson. Os três estão em nono lugar na lista de artistas com mais músicas no n.º 1 do ranking.
Com o lançamento da reedição de ‘1989’, Swift pode ambicionar atingir mais vezes o topo da Hot 100. Se não for agora, será certamente com novos trabalhos e novos álbuns mas, a não ser que algo de muito estranho aconteça, é muito provável que a cantora ultrapasse brevemente a icónica Whitney Houston, que tem 11 singles que chegaram ao número 1 da Hot 100 da Billboard.
A liderar a lista estão os Beatles, que conseguiram 20 músicas no topo, seguidos de Mariah Carey (19), Rihanna (14), Drake (13), Michael Jackson (13), Madonna (12) e The Supremes (12).
